Ways to give to the West Corners Lions Club
Most of what the West Corners Lions Club does is paid for by neighbors who show up at our fundraisers. There are also a few ways to give things that would otherwise sit in a drawer.
Donate Hearing Aids
The club collects used hearing aids. They are cleaned, reconditioned, and redistributed to people who need them.
You can drop off used hearing aids at any club meeting, or in the donation bin on the front porch at 509 Carl Street, Endicott, next to Smile Designers dental office.
We meet on the first and third Thursdays at Most Holy Rosary Church, 2596 Main Street, Maine, NY 13802. From October 15 through the winter, meetings start at 5:30 PM.
Eyeglass Collection
The club collects eyeglasses. Please drop them in the bin on the front porch at 509 Carl Street, Endicott, next to the Smile Designers dental office. They go to a Lions center in New Jersey, where they are sorted by prescription and given free to people in other countries.
Children’s Books
Every Halloween the club hands out books to children at a Trunk-or-Treat. This year’s books are already collected, thank you.
We will be looking for more children’s books next fall. If you are clearing out books after the first of the year, we would welcome books that look new, even if they are not brand new. We are especially interested in books for children from around ages 2–3, when parents read to them, through ages 12–13.

Food Donations
The club accepts canned and packaged food donations for local food pantries. Please make sure food is not expired or close to its expiration date.
This can be a good way to donate unopened food when a family member has passed away or moved into nursing care.
If it is easiest, you can take food directly to a local food pantry. Otherwise, contact the club to arrange a drop-off at 509 Carl Street, Endicott, next to Smile Designers dental office. Club volunteers will help get the food to local pantries.
